    The Best Vegas Vacation

The Best Vegas Vacation is a free vacation, and that's what Isle Casino Hotel® Bettendorf is giving away this November. Don’t rely on luck to make this trip happen. Read our guide below and check out the official Vegas site to come up with your own winning strategy.

    Where to Stay
Isle Casino Bettendorf's prize package includes a free stay at the Tropicana hotel. A classic Vegas hotel from the '50s, Tropicana is located right on the famous Las Vegas strip where all the action happens. The vibe isn't stuck in the 50's, though— newly renovated, you'll think you're in modern South Beach when you walk through the sleekly styled brand new lobby. The rooms and suites are meant to feel like apartments, so once you unpack you'll feel right at home.

You know you won’t avoid gaming in Vegas! You'll see your first slot machine before you find your way out of the airport (your prize package includes a $500 flight credit*, so book a first class ticket and travel in comfort). At the Tropicana, you can even swim up to blackjack tables in the pool. You'll have no trouble finding the casino, right off the reception area. Slot machines and tables abound, and there are high limit slot and table games for when you're feeling really lucky.

If you bet on sports or horses, you'll find all the monitors you need to keep an eye on those outcomes too. Settle into a cushy chair at your betting station and watch as many as 25 simultaneous events.

Eat in South Beach style 24/7 at the Beach Café in the Tropicana. Miami style continues at Biscayne, known for its seafood. Vegas is world-famous for its lavish buffets… and the Tropicana holds its own in that department.

The shopping malls in Vegas are attractions in their own rights, not just because of the high-end shops, but because of sky-painted ceilings that shift color with the hour of the day, animatronic statues that come to life, and rides and shows.

Glance left and glance right on the Strip and your eyes may pop out of their heads. Taking in the scene on the Strip is the best sightseeing in town.

The casinos and their unique architectures aren't the only thing to see in Vegas. Head to downtown Vegas, where street experiences and neon dedicated museums light up the city. There’s even a museum dedicated to Mob life where you can listen to actual FBI wiretap recordings there. Cool!

    Entertainment and Nightlife
There's plenty of entertainment in the hotels along the strip. Many lounges don't have cover charges, while theaters have shows ranging from traditional burlesque, comedy, magic, headliner performances, and Broadway hits. For popular shows you'll want to buy tickets in advance. You'll find discounts on offer for many of the shows.

    Take it Easy
Lounge on a daybed or in a cabana poolside. Because the Tropicana wasn't built overnight, its trees have had time to grow tall and the landscape is luxurious. The hotel's spa is right by the pool, where the pampering techniques somehow relax and invigorate at the same time.

    Make it Active
You can't help doing things to excess in Vegas – especially eating. But alleviate some of the guilt by working off some of that excess in the hotel's fitness center. It's a sure bet you'll find the right equipment for your fat-burning workout there.

Or shake off the neon chains for a day and find a spot of natural beauty for adventure. Head to Lake Mead for watersports including boating and fishing. The Grand Canyon is within reach, but Red Rock Canyon is closer. The park has easy hikes that kids can do as well as a strenuous hike that climbs to the top of one of the peaks.
