TIPS FOR PLANNING AN EVENT
Please consider the following to guide you through the event planning process at the Isle Casino Hotel Bettendorf/Quad-Cities Waterfront Convention Center:
Prepare for the following questions:
Number of Guests:
Have an estimated number of guests who will be attending the event. This will ensure appropriate space and rentals are being quoted and, most importantly, guests are being comfortably accommodated.
Theme & Room Layout:
Discuss with your coordinator the desired setup and appearance. To include, but not limited to, style of tables (i.e. classroom tables, round tables, square or family style tables), tables needed for registration, vendors, materials, etc., placement of tables.
Here are the most standard ways to set our meeting rooms:
Round Tables (Or Banquet Style)
The Isle Center has round tables that accommodate 10 guests and the Waterfront accommodates 8 guests.
Crescent Round Tables
Typically used for a meeting session where the guests will be eating at the same tables. All chairs face forward.
Standard meeting setup. Tables are narrow, and chairs are facing forward.
Boardroom style setup so guests can talk amongst themselves.
Executive style long tables with chairs around
Chairs only, facing forward.
Be thorough when discussing food and beverage for your event. If you wish to have specialty items ordered/prepared be sure the venue can accommodate your requests.
Inform coordinator of plans for presentations, speeches, lighting, etc. to ensure appropriate equipment is available and provided.
Have an idea of the number of rooms needed for guests...
